MY STORY
BORN IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA, IN 2003,
Kian Alexander Vakili is a professional tennis player and student at the Wharton School of Business. Formerly a top-ranked junior and college player, he currently holds an ATP professional ranking in both singles and doubles. Kian began playing tennis at the age of 3, competing in USTA tournaments by age 5, and has since played over 600 matches, winning more than 100 trophies and awards in national and international competitions. He trains at the USTA National Center in Orlando, with additional training at Barcelona Total Tennis with Francis Roig, and IMG Academy. His favorite players include Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Juan Martin Del Potro.
At Wharton, Kian is concentrating in finance and real estate. He has been on the University of Pennsylvania’s Dean’s List and has received multiple scholastic honors. He is actively involved in various Wharton clubs, contributing to the school’s community. Kian is passionate about finance and plans to pursue a career as an investment banker.
Beyond tennis and academics, Kian enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities such as skiing, fly fishing, hiking, skeet shooting, and boating. He is also an avid golfer and enjoys playing soccer, basketball, and ping pong. In his free time, he plays the piano and loves competing in FIFA Soccer.
